You’re invited to a dynamic virtual meeting of the Hunger, Nutrition, and Health in Pregnancy Action Network on Wednesday, June 3, at 3:00 p.m. ET.

The Hunger, Nutrition, and Health in Pregnancy Action Network invites you to join its June Quarterly Connect meeting. This virtual session will feature a discussion about nutrition concerns and challenges during the critical prenatal-to-three (PN-3) time frame. Joining us will be Shannon Vance, MPH, Director of Maternal and Child Health for the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) and Amilcar Guzman, Ph.D., program officer with the Pritzker Children's Initiative. Attendees will have the opportunity for questions, small group discussions and networking with colleagues working in maternal and child health.

Amilcar Guzman, Ph.D. is a Program Officer at the J.B. and M.K. Pritzker Family Foundation. In this role, he is responsible for supporting national and state partners as they seek to implement effective Prenatal-to-Three (PN-3) systems that will improve the lives of those who are the furthest away from opportunity. Prior to his time at the Pritzker Family Foundation, Amilcar served in a variety of education policy and research roles in the Washington D.C. area.

Shannon Vance, MPH, is a Director on the Maternal and Child Health team at the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) where she leads the child and adolescent health portfolio. Her background is in child health and wellbeing, nutrition, and school health and she has previously worked for Save the Children US, Chemonics International, and the Millennium Challenge Corporation. Shannon has a master’s degree in public health from The George Washington University and currently lives in Portland, Oregon
